Overview
The Comprehensive Gender Analysis (CGA) is used to give teams a deeper understanding of women and men’s lived experiences, and provides a process of analysis to identify the power inequalities and norms that dictate these experiences. For a thorough gender analysis, data must give information about four Core Areas of Impact: Roles & Responsibilities, Access & Control, Safety, and Social Norms. These Core Areas are essential to understanding the impact of gender inequality, and in turn, developing and implementing programs that promote gender equality. CGA also supports a reflection on deeply rooted social norms that cause many of the gendered inequalities in communities we work. Contact us to create a research design tailored to your specific needs.
